Flutter
A Tortoise in a Nutshell production, originally co-produced with Freshly Squeezed Productions
An immersive performance for 2-5 year olds that takes its audience on a multi-sensory journey through a world of winter snow.
Crunch, crunch, crunch,
Flutter, flitter, flutter,
A magical world of winter falls overnight,
A crisp white canvas,
Smooth, untouched, inviting.
Join two sisters and their mischievous penguin as they discover the magic of a back garden in winter. Flutter is an interactive, immersive performance for 2-5 year olds that takes its audience on a multi-sensory journey through a world of winter snow.
Part installation and part performance, Flutter will transport you to a world filled with snow drifts, winding paths and twinkling stars. A rich palette of materials, puppetry and music combine to create a tactile and multi-sensory show for small hands, eyes, ears and noses.
Accessibility
Recommended for ages 2-5. Flutter features little spoken dialogue and focuses instead on design, musical score, movement and puppetry. With participation integrated into the show, the structure and style of performance creates a highly accessible experience, capable of catering to groups from various backgrounds, with varying access requirements.
